Megan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in helping adults and adolescents improve their well-being through client-centered, evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Her empathetic and collaborative style creates a supportive environment for emotional growth, self-discovery, and lasting change. She believes deeply in the mind-body connection and recognizes the powerful influence that both internal experiences and external environments have on thoughts, emotions, and behaviors.
Drawing from her training in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, narrative, mindfulness-based, and other therapeutic modalities, Megan tailors treatment to each individual’s unique needs and goals. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, chronic illness, maternal mental health, fertility and reproductive concerns, women’s health, relationships, self-esteem, and life transitions.
Megan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Boston University, a Master of Social Work from Columbia University, and a Master of Arts in Fashion Psychology from University of the Arts London. Throughout her career, she has worked within public schools, child welfare, criminal justice, and mental health research settings. She previously managed a National Institute of Mental Health clinical trial focused on preventing depression and anxiety in adolescents and young adults through online coping strategies and resilience-building tools. In addition to her clinical work, Megan is passionate about education and teaches courses in fashion psychology, exploring the relationship between identity, self-expression, self-esteem, and well-being. Her research explored the impact of fashion, beauty, and media on self-esteem and identity. This perspective continues to inform her clinical work as she helps clients challenge and reframe internalized messages, cultivate self-compassion, and develop a stronger sense of self-worth and body acceptance.
Outside of her practice, Megan enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends, reading fiction, practicing Pilates, dancing, and swimming. She is an avid traveler who enjoys immersing herself in different cultures and finding inspiration in both familiar and unfamiliar places. Born and raised in Chicago and now proudly calling New York City home, she loves exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, restaurants, and cultural offerings.
Megan believes that therapy is not about becoming someone different, but about gaining insight into yourself, challenging patterns that no longer serve you, and creating lasting change that helps you live the life you desire.
We don’t believe in quick fixes. We focus on meaningful understanding because insight creates lasting change. When insight grows, change feels less forced and more sustainable.
We bring covert dynamics into awareness. By exploring hidden meanings and unspoken patterns, we make the unconscious conscious, allowing for intentional choice rather than reactive habit.
Therapy is a collaborative relationship. We provide a space where complexity is welcomed and emotions are respected, helping you understand how you relate to yourself and others.
Change isn’t just cognitive; it’s felt. We honor the mind-body connection, gently exploring protective strategies and helping you find a grounded sense of safety and alignment.
